About this workshop
Go back to basics with this workshop focusing on dance and music as tools, as they are too often under used even if they are prime components of a Burlesque act.
This workshop focuses on understanding how music is constructed and how to connect to it and use it to serve your act construction at its best!
- Open to all levels and genders.
- Dress as you feel comfortable (no specific outfit requirement), heels optional but not mandatory
- BRING A PAIR OF GLOVES.
About Chanelle de Mai
Internationally acclaimed, Chanelle is the very epitome of the French show girl. Refined and sophisticated, yet mysteriously witty and seductive, crowds fall at her feet, just like her clothes usually do.
Professionally trained as a classical ballerina, Chanelle went on to become an award winning ballroom dancer. She hence enriches her acts with unseen intricacy, and her choreographies are as detailed as her lingerie.
Chanelle is also a professional costume maker, creating for Paris Opera among other famous houses. She brings her incredible designs on stage to create dream scenes and takes the audience on a journey of fantasy they hadn’t even dared dreaming of.
From subtle Art Nouveau Poetry to a dramatic Swan, from an exotic Mambo to a frantic Charleston, her repertoire spreads as wide as her legs (and that’s proverbial to say the least).
